Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musically inclined family. Her childhood was spent listening to classic, old boleros along with classic romantic songs and the Ranchero style. Ana has a passion for Tangos, opera, and every form of dramatic performances. After singing with her mom at the age of 12, she took up more rigorous training in singing at 16, under the direction of the renowned Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. The singer performed in Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a musician and student. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo for many private functions. Alongside being an active performer as well as an instructor the passion for music and art keeps her engaged in a wide range of initiatives. Ana was a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is presently a professor of The Performance Loft. Ana hopes, by sharing her knowledge songs from Latin American traditional songs, to instill a passion, particularly among the younger generation in keeping the music alive.
